Lakes in Reston, Virginia

Reston has five lakes that include Lake Anne, Lake Audubon, Lake Thoreau, Lake Newport, and Lake Fairfax. The lakes provide recreation and stormwater management for the community. While swimming and ice skating are not permitted, fishing, boating, wildlife watching and lakeside picnicking are available to Reston Association members and their guests. Many sections of pathway are near the lakes, and simply walking near or around the lakes is a popular pursuit. See Reston Association's web site for more info on Reston's lakes.
